I have been associated with a group of doctors and few likeminded people inspired from Swami Vivekanand who formed a charitable society called Swami Vivekanand Health Mission in September 2012 and started its activities in Uttarakhand. Gradually, the society has spread their wings for the “Char Dham” project with hospitals and mobile medical units running in each Dham with a Mission – “To worship the motherland by serving the neglected and exploited brethren in the backward, rural and tribal areas rendering them medical and other social aids” and with a Vision – “Total and all round development of the tribes, poors, socially deprived and other backward people of Uttarakhand”.
