Netra Kumbh Prayag 2019

“Tamso Ma Jyotirgamay” — Lead me from darkness to light — this timeless hymn inspired the launch of Netra-Kumbh, a monumental initiative at the Ardha Kumbh, Prayagraj, aimed at combating preventable blindness.

Over 50 days, more than 20,000 patients were screened daily, with over 1,55,000 spectacles distributed free by a dedicated team of 400 ophthalmologists and 2,500 volunteers. The initiative received national acclaim and has been registered in the Limca Book of Records.
